Women's Home-Based
Livelihood Empowerment Project

Empowering Women Through Vocational Training & Sustainable Employment

Project Overview

Empowering vulnerable women through traditional Afghan felt-making

Women's Home-Based Livelihood Empowerment Project

The project empowers vulnerable women and young girls through vocational training and home-based production of felt products. Using the traditional Afghan art of felt-making, participants gain skills, income, and social dignity.

In response to ongoing economic hardship and limited employment opportunities for women in Afghanistan, this six-month initiative is designed to provide vulnerable women and young girls with practical vocational skills and sustainable income opportunities through structured training and home-based production.

By combining skill development with income-generation pathways, the project promotes economic resilience, dignity, and long-term self-reliance.
