Donation Policy
Accepted channels, controls and reporting
How AAHO receives donations, screens gifts, and records income and expenditure.
Until payment channels held in AAHO’s exact statutory name are active and approved, AAHO does not accept donations.
Accepted payment channels
AAHO accepts donations only through payment channels held in its exact statutory name and approved by its board and banking provider. Until such channels are active, AAHO does not accept donations.
Methods not accepted and donor due diligence
AAHO does not accept cash, cheques, cryptocurrency or transfers to personal accounts. It may request donor identity or source-of-funds information, refuse or return donations, and screen donors and transactions where proportionate. Restricted donations are accepted only after written confirmation that the restriction is compatible with AAHO’s objects, budget and compliance obligations.
Accounts and reporting
All income and expenditure is recorded in the accounts. Financial and activity reports are published only after board approval.
Where accounts or reports are published, AAHO will state whether they were independently compiled, reviewed or audited. Accounts are never described as audited unless an audit engagement has occurred.
