AAHO does not currently operate, fundraise for, or implement an emergency-relief program. Previous service descriptions and donation requests relating to emergency relief have been removed from this website.
Requirements before any future launch
AAHO will not launch an emergency-relief program until the board has formally approved it and appropriate governance and compliance arrangements are in place. Depending on the proposed activities, these may include:
- A documented country and operational risk assessment
- Agreements with appropriately registered and qualified partners
- Partner and beneficiary due diligence
- Sanctions screening
- Financial and procurement controls
- Safeguarding measures
- Monitoring, reporting and independent oversight
- Confirmation that the planned financial transactions are compatible with AAHO’s banking arrangements
- Any required legal, regulatory, insurance or professional approvals
