AAHO has a nursing and midwifery council as well as collaborating with such councils in Afghanistan, Netherlands, and other countries. The major role of this council are:

• To protect the health and wellbeing of the poor masses.
• To set and maintain standards of education, training, conduct, and performance so that nurses and midwives can deliver high-quality healthcare services in Afghanistan.
• To ensure that nurses and midwives keep their skills up to date and uphold professional standards in any country we serve.
• To have clear and transparent processes to investigate nurses and midwives who fall short of standards or portray any sort of incompetence.
